The Sounds of Summer with “Sings and Strings”
Residents of the Wyndemere Senior Living Campus in Wheaton, Illinois have requested an encore performance by “Sings and Strings” for their monthly birthday celebration at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25th, 2013. The duo’s entertaining program “Sounds of Summer” features Jennifer Silk, Chicago’s favorite strolling violinist with cellist and opera singer Wendy Cotton.
In addition to the violin, Jennifer will also perform works for the viola. With her Bachelor and Master degrees in Music Education, she will entertain as well as educate the audience with the music of the summer and Ravinia favorites. Wendy is a past recipient of classical music’s most coveted award – “Most Promising Young Artist”, given by the esteemed Metropolitan Opera of New York. She will be singing opera favorites as well as playing her cello for instrumental duets with Jennifer.
