The woman who made me practice and is responsible for giving the world my merry music making!
Happy Mother’s Day!
This week at Strings of Silk Music, I am thrilled to have a full schedule of performances for those women with a heart of gold! On Friday, May 8th, Lincolnshire Place in Loves Park has invited me to provide the music while they host a pre-Mother’s Day tea at 3 p.m. Then back by popular demand I will be taking requests and strolling on Saturday, May 9th at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights. This delightful two seating brunch is from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the beautiful St. John Chapel.
On Saturday night, it will be an honor and a privilege to perform at the Laird’s Funeral Home in West Dundee for a lovely memorial to Rosemary Garon. Rosemary began a sing-a-long in my community 45 years ago that continues to this day. She touched my heart and I hope I touched her’s when I played by her bedside while she was making her journey home.
Then on Sunday, May 10th, I have the pleasure of returning to The Vines of Elgin for their annual Mother’s Day luncheon, 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.
But I saved the best for last – all mothers are invited to join me in having a swinging time at Durty Nellie’s in Palatine to hear the great Jazz Consortium Big Band at 6:00 p.m.!
Happy Mother’s Day!
