The PRCOrchestra’s 26th season begins at Northeastern Illinois University. Planet Earth is an exploration of our celestial homeland and a tribute to our shared experience as humans on this Earth. This concert begins with the North American premiere of Syrian-American composer Kareem Roustom’s Clarinet Concerto Adrift on the Wine-Dark Sea with clarinet soloist Kinan Azmeh. This foray into our natural world also includes Claude Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and his aquatically inspired La Mer.
