The Weird (But Wonderful) Quartet - SOLD OUT! Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Morton Arboretum! What makes this such a weird quartet? The instrumentation is extremely unusual: flute and alto flute, violin and viola, guitar and cello. The combination of the low instruments makes a haunting and beautiful sound. Few composers have written for this combination of instruments so the repertoire contains arrangements of different styles and music of different origins. Hear it once and you’ll agree it’s Weird (But Wonderful)!
